Use mild, unscented soap and warm water when cleaning. Avoid “douching”, which is cleaning the vagina, as it disrupts the natural balance of bacteria down there, and can lead to a possible infection.
Opt for the unscented products. Although it may be tempting to buy body butters that promote a “smoother shave” or “candy apple” body wash, fragranced products tend to contain ingredients that lead to irritation.
Take your probiotics and vitamins! My favorites are the VH essentials (Probiotics with Prebiotics & Cranberry), and AZO cranberry for Urinary Tract Health.
Opt for high quality, breathable underwear. 100% cotton, instead of synthetic materials, can prevent bacterial growth.
Talk with your gynecologist! Are you feeling itchy, irritated, or more? Make sure to get it checked as soon as you can so the situation doesn’t get worse!
